Frances graduated from Washington University, St. Louis with a B.A. in Architecture, Cum Laude, a Masters in Architecture, with Honors, and a Masters in Construction Management. She is a licensed professional architect in Puerto Rico, an active member of the “Colegio de Arquitectos y Arquitectos Paisajistas de Puerto Rico (CAAPPR),” and of the AIA Florida + Puerto Rico Chapters.

During the formation years of her career she worked for two of the largest construction management firms in the United States, Skanska USA Building Inc. and Turner Construction Company. During this time she was involved in the pre-construction and construction of high profile projects such as the MIT Stata Center, Princeton Lewis Library, Barclay's Center and World Trade Center Tower Two, designed by star architects Frank O. Gehry and Norman Foster.

Back in the island of Puerto Rico she has worked for various private and public sector institutions. She served as project construction manager for the renovation and construction of Blackpoint Management LLC's residential real estate portfolio and performed land loan value assessments. She was program coordinator and manager for the Puerto Rico Infrastructure Financing Authority (PRIFA), where she was involved in school modernizations and most notably the Historic Preservation and Modernization of the VAC systems for Palacio de Santa Catalina, most commonly known as "La Fortaleza". 

 

Most recently, she worked as architect and construction management coordinator at Bayamón Medical Center, formerly Hermanos Meléndez Hospital.  Presently, she works independently providing architecture, project management and construction management services for a variety of clients while continuing to engage in her other passions such as ceramics, furniture design, painting and yoga.
